Damilola

"For the past three years I’ve been surrounded by insanely talented people working at the edge of their fields and creating beautiful things."

Born in Nigeria, Damilola came to UAL excited to embark on a course which spans both art and culture. While he’s embraced Central Saint Martins’ awe-inspiring creative environment, his true highlight has been the inspirational people he’s met.

"Studying at UAL has been an incredible experience. For the past three years I’ve been surrounded by insanely talented people working at the edge of their fields and creating beautiful things. I’ve made so many friends who’ve become pillars in my life and massively inspire me.

As an international student I’m well aware of the difficulties involved in moving to a completely new environment. My best advice would be to create a routine and space that allows you to be most comfortable. Don’t be afraid to collaborate. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. You’ll have a blast!”

Damilola Ayo-Vaughan
Graduated 2020 from BA (Hons) Culture, Criticism and Curation, Central Saint Martins. Now studying MA Contemporary Photography; Practices and Philosophies, Central Saint Martins.
